Qualifications: Basic ECE

Required Experience:

  • Current BC ECE License to Practice Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certification
  • Clear criminal record check
  • Able to communicate well in English, verbally and in writing
  • Minimum one (1) year experience of working with children aged 2.5-5 years
  • Able to work 7 hours/day with rotating shifts
  • Asset: knowledge and understanding of Reggio Emilia philosophy and practice

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in an inclusive program that meets the needs of individual children
  • Demonstrate strong team work skills
  • Maintain effective communication with families and  the staff team
  • Ability to plan, carry out and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children
  • Good knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework

Salary:

Salary – Based on Experience & Education + ECE Wage Enahancement
Vacation entitlement – 4% of earnings first year, increasing to 3 weeks after first year
